Pre-Engineered Buildings

New construction of Pre-Engineered Metal Building packages, or PEMB is a specialization of CMB Erectors. The buildings covered by CMB can vary greatly in shapes and sizes, ranging from 5,000 to 100,000 sq ft. The applications these buildings used also varies. Some of these applications include truck maintenance shops, oil field equipment service shops, arenas, community centres and sport facilities such as pools and gymnasiums.

These buildings can also be for commercial use, for medium to large sized contractors. Use of these facilities can include storing sensitive equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and having an office space to house all operations in a single location. Agricultural operations can be requested as well, including barns, riding areas and cold storage for animal feed.

We are completely proficient in all systems and details of all major suppliers (these include Nucor, Steelway, Robertson/Star, Metallic, Butler, and Varco Pruden). CMB’s background and training in conventional steel erection extends to many workers. Many have apprenticeships from companies specifically tailored to conventional structural steel, as well as CMB’s owners experience building multi-storey and beam and joist warehouse projects throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

CMB will take on any conventional building projects that are within the size and scope of our erectors. We are also skilled in erecting conventional lean to pre-engineering steel buildings, despite it not being our specialty. Our projects are sourced through various trusted general contractors. They look to us and trust us to complete the contracts effectively and on time. 

Most of our clients are mid to large general contracting companies. Sometimes we are asked to consult a General Contractor or client on the building’s design, and we draw from our years of experience and knowledge of Pre Engineered buildings. This helps guide the client to the most cost effective and efficient solution. CBM mostly looks for projects with a designated supplier. There is usually a General Contractor as a result, and in rare cases a client may possess the building independent of contractor or supplier. In this case, the client would hire a General Contractor who in turn hires the CMB Erectors to oversee their PEMB.
